Randy Orton To Announce Retirement On WWE SmackDown Due To Injury At Elimination Chamber 2024?

Randy Orton may be about to pull off the unthinkable on WWE SmackDown after he announces his retirement. Randy Orton's time at WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 Premium Live Event didn't go well. Despite being one of the most experienced stars, Randy Orton didn't get the win and was clearly in pain for much of the match.

Logan Paul cost Randy Orton his win, attacking him with the brass knuckles after he'd already been eliminated by Randy Orton. This allowed Drew McIntyre to get the win on the night, with Randy Orton missing out on his WrestleMania 40 World Heavyweight Title challenge as a result. Randy Orton is unlikely to let it go too easily.

Given Randy Orton's penchant for revenge and his ability to come up with schemes to get what he wants, Logan Paul might well be in danger.

Randy Orton was hurt at the 2024 Men's Elimination Chamber Match, his back suffering inside the structure, with rumors of a potential injury. Randy Orton could easily use these rumors to play up how hurt he was.

Randy Orton said that he was in tears & crying like a little baby when told he may have to retire.

The fact that he was able to return to the ring after his injury is remarkable.

When Randy Orton comes to WWE SmackDown, he could well take to the ring to announce that his recovery had not gone as well as was hoped and that his injury was forcing him to retire. Given Randy Orton had missed much time because of the injury, it would make this believable, and that's something Randy Orton has never been above using.

Randy Orton would say that he was retiring, and this would put Logan Paul at ease. Thinking that Randy Orton was going away, he'd mock Randy Orton, only to end up being attacked by him.

Given that WWE has done this in the past with Mark Henry only pretending to retire so he could attack John Cena when the star was unaware.
